Kèr Rùvjafíht (Rùv /ˈjafɪ̞t/ [landlord] [brother]) is a subtropical Town located in the Sti̊ci̊q Region of the Tetbur Commune.

The name Kèr Rùvjafíht is derived from the Tauric language, as Kèr Rùvjafíht was founded by Dyeg̈ Wynney Castell, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Kèr Rùvjafíht has a yearly average temperature of 25°C (77°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 28°C (82°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 22°C (71°F). Kèr Rùvjafíht receives an average of 253 cm/y (99 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Overview

Kèr Rùvjafíht was founded durring the early 14th century in winter of the year 1301, by Dyeg̈ Wynney Castell. The establishment of Kèr Rùvjafíht was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Dyeg̈ Wynney Castell electing to pay people to resettle in Kèr Rùvjafíht.

Kèr Rùvjafíht was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the early 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kèr Rùvjafíht is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Kèr Rùvjafíht is buildings are grouped arround an odd layout of broad packed earth streets, which seems to be based on an overlapping squair patern such that there are small squares at the cornor of every bigger square. Sometimes buildings exist in the smaller squaires, other times they are open spaces, or occupied by temporary structures. The town is protected by a well-crafted cobblestone fence tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. The frontieer-style defences have not been wellmaintained over the years, and while functional are in dire need of some loving care and perhapse light renovation.

Kèr Rùvjafíht has the unmistakable air of a town on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Whatever industry once fueled Kèr Rùvjafíht ’s existence has dried up and the town is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up. Even with that as it is, everything is just a little too worn down, a little too dirty, or much of both. The town should be gone, not dying. No one makes eye contact. Kids play quietly, but happily. Occasionally a passerby glances at you out of the corner of their eye, staring just long enough for it to be uncomfortable.

Cultural Notes

The law within Kèr Rùvjafíht is highly corrupt, or does not apply to certain favored groups or castes. Strangers might be fleeced by local lawmen, evildoers can be absolved by a payment, and powerful gentry do as they please.

Kèr Rùvjafíht's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known for its buildings being predominantly formed through the combination of basic geometric shapes. However, it shown in the detailing given to the structures such as its characteristic tall columns, intricate detail, symmetry, harmony, and balance in their designs to an astonishing degree of precision. Decorative elements for the buildings tended to be built into the structure itself, making great use of fluting, frescoes, inlays, and embossing.
